Wes Anderson must have been high as a kite when making this film. The onslaught of colour and the architecturally questionable locations could only have been thought to be a good idea by someone who has just consumed a truckload of industrial strength LSD. Frankly watching the mentally unstable characters bounce around the screen was an experience I can only compare to being repeatedly hit in the face with a sock full of sick.
The music was only comparable to listening to someone urinate on a cat and the script seemed like something that would spring from the mind of a dog sat at a typewriter.
Ralph Fiennes was pretty good though.
